A lot of good, some bad/outdated - Editorial ThePrint Employee Review

Pros

ThePrint is one of the few media houses that actually cares about standards and ethics in journalistic practice, and for that I commend it. Many of the editors are top-notch and a lot of work goes into ensuring that everything that goes out is balanced, fact-checked and written lucidly. They also pay decently generally. These high standards make up for a lot of other issues.

Cons

If ThePrint cared as much about its journalists as it does about journalism, I think it could do a lot better and retain/attract more talent. Unfortunately, the place is beholden to some counterproductive and outdated practices such as ensuring that no one gets to work from home unless they are at death's door or something. This actually hinders productivity and causes a lot of time wasting in commutes etc while also negatively impacting employee engagement. Another issue is poor communication between team members and an HR that exists only in name.
