Pros

I I loved the school I worked at. That's all that kept me there.

Cons

Where to begin, the worst things - Head office and operations managers dont know their own policies - I had to write my own procedure for something as they had nothing for services to use, after they had all tried to tell me we didn't do that procedure at all. - we did when it came to special needs. They constantly break and violate contractual obligations in regards to admin time. - would take it away in school holidays Area mgr is your education leader - actually never does any of the job requirements an educational leader would do We went through 6 area managers in the 3 years i was there. They run single educator services but it often breaches safety guidelines and regulations as there is no one else on the premises or school grounds incase of an emergency. You were told to call your Area Manager and they will come to you as soon as they can. They had so many under qualified staff, with no experience with higher needs/ behaviour problems ect - it was really hard to run the service in an adequate manner. To get funding for Supprt staff you had to jump through hoops only to have them removed for ratio at another service. Even if in ratio, multiple children with Neurodivergence and behavioural issues is extremely difficult on your own. They constantly cut budgets and ability to get resources, and refuse to increase. They have a mentality that if there was a problem or someone did something wrong , we all were reprimanded and all had to deal with the fallout.

Pros

Very difficult to find any pros that are related specifically to the company. Of course you get to work with many wonderful children and staff, but this has nothing to do with Their Care.

Cons

Services are extremely under-resourced. Coordinators are rarely given non-contact time and are expected to do all of their planning while working in ratio or at home. Communication from management is very poor and often rude. They make you feel like nothing more than a number. Whenever I have needed to contact an Area Manager, I have had to text, email and call multiple times before getting a response or solution. I have worked 3 holiday programs and have had to chase up missing pay 3 times. Shift hours and locations are changed last minute. Guilt-tripped for not being able to work when they need. They ask you to provide your availability and then completely ignore this when rostering. Staff turnover is very high, educators and coordinators are leaving in droves.
