Pros
I chose to work at Thinking Fish after reviewing several job offers. My new office here in Shoreditch is cool, open plan, and very inspiring. Its a relaxed environment where I hot desk and no longer need to work at a fixed desk every day. One day I can sit at one of our big bay windows, and the next I can sit in one of the lounges or the library area. I got switched to Macbook about 6 months ago which was a change from Windows, but I'm loving the fact my machine no longer crashes and I never need to speak to IT support. I've been working on very interesting projects for some of our larger clients. Only once a week do I need to work late perhaps, and I haven't worked on a weekend in as long as I can remember. I work in a team of designers and programmers on website and software development. My project manager is a funny guy, and he keeps my motivated. I see Andrew the MD a couple of times a week and he is very inspiring to listen to, I enjoy hearing his views and values and it seems that all of the staff and customers enjoy working with him. I hope to stay a 3rd year and then I will go back to study as I'm thinking of going into management and moving away from being a programmer. Last year the company introduced some more benefits like discounts at Apple and free/discounted cinema tickets as well as improvements to company pension.
Cons
I'd like more on the job training as I find it difficult to keep my skills up to date. I would like more company meetings and just not team meetings. And not all of us work in the same office which is a shame - as I don't get to see everyone all of the time. I would also like access to the private members club upstairs :p
