Pros

The company is filled with like-minded individuals who genuinely desire to improve the lives of those they work with. I'm not sure if there's another company like it. The giving back in numerous ways, and empowering others to be able to get involved in their community, speaks volumes of the kind of people who work for the company, but also the company's prolonged and persistent goal of being a positive impact in every community. During licensing for new FAs, you are paid almost double what competitors pay for the same experience level. This pay includes fully paid initial licensing exams, study period, increased initial commission bonuses, very competitive commissions, increased pay for several months when licensing is complete, travel reimbursement, and a new technology allotment. For new advisors, you have the chance to work and get comm splits with other good advisors in the area in your benefit. Company has long history of excellent financial performance, and boasts strength currently with high liquidity and assets. I need to reiterate, being in a company where faith is the top feature of the culture is something that I don't think anybody could take for granted if they are a person of faith. Truly a pleasure to be a part of

Cons

New advisors don't get base pay past training. Must be proactive unless working in office or with other advisors. You have some support from those in your immediate group, but resources and processes are not explained past training, and the training consists of only a blueprint of a basic sales timeline and generic strategy. Company was an insurance company first, so they still prioritize that in a lot of ways. Additionally, because of this, and it's niche market (the Christian community), establishing a local brand and name can be challenging without discipline, diligent work, and preparing to put it in long hours, especially due to lack of brand recognition nationwide (present, but not as well known as others). Technology for independent advisors is lacking in modernity, and alternatives are pricey. To note: most, if not all, of these are common about all FA firms

Pros

Would have been a good opportunity IF it went through.

Cons

BEWARE! They do not disclose a very long and tedious interview process. 3 interviews with a post interview call. Background check, credit check, amongst multiple items to complete in portal. Many emails to respond to. Speaking with 4+employees throughout the process. Did NOT disclose that start date was 3 months post job posting.
