Pros
Some co-employees were decent people, easy to get along with and all shared the same ideology as you. Employee discount was decent enough that you could supplement your income with employee purchases if you purchased the right things.
Cons
Sign a contract stating 40 hours but made to work 45. Not paid for breaks for management so essentianly you were scheduled for 50 hours a week and you were lucky if you had time for breaks. Morale of employees very low and everyone wants to leave the company from management to sales. Turnover is very high and no statutory holiday pay for management (they claim it is included in salary for management). During statutory holiday weeks, management still expected to be scheduled 50 hours and occasionally asked to perform tasks such as picking merchandise up from other stores (using their own vehicle and at their own gas expense), and come in on days off and take phone calls during that period. Management NOT allowed to have 2 consecutive days off. They must be split up during the week so you are forced into their culture.
