Business outlook
Pros
- The company has grown a great deal since I've been here. I think they've done a good job bringing in smart/talented people in a challenging job market.
- Challenging problems: everyone has an important role in defining a category of products/business.
- Driven/competitive leadership team: We're kept up to date on ambitious departmental goals, and the executive team does well to communicate the shared vision of the entire organization.
- Business is in a good place. Lots of revenue last year. Product works.
- Breakfast/Lunch every day. Good amenities.
Cons
- Every company has their problems. I think Tile has done well to try and lean into theirs and bring them out into the open to find a solution. Other companies don't do this very well in my experience. In the growth Tile has had, there was a point where there was a pattern of poor communication that developed. I think there has been a successful course-correction since then.
- Meeting culture is not great. People are rarely on time for meetings and that gets a bit exhausting (may also be a factor of the crowd I typically meet with).
