Pros
There are many opportunities for advancement. For example, there are many employees that have worked in the collections department and have moved to our funding, credit or sales departments. If you are a recent college grad looking to get your foot in the door, this is a great place to start. There is training for new hires as well as continuing education for existing employees. They offer seminars for people looking to advance within the company and also have great career guidance programs if you are looking to diversify your resume and move on.
Cons
If you are late to work or have a "do the bare minimums" work ethic, you will not advance and most likely be miserable. Because it is a small company (fewer than 200 employees), if you are not a great worker people will notice. Once you have that type of reputation, it is very difficult to shake. If you are looking to come to an office and "fake it until you make it"....warning... this is not the place for you. In addition, if you come from a company that takes snow days, we do not. You will need to come to work unless there is a state of emergency issued.
