Pros
Used to be able to to work 50+ hours but they cut overtime 3 times in a year
Cons
Nepotism, favoritism, way too many family members, in-laws and friends of family working under the same roof. Good ole boys club. Job is supposed to be a 50/50 split of delivery driving and warehousing. All the easy long drives are given out to their family, in-laws and friends of family. All logistics specialists are paid the same rate of pay which created a culture of doing the bare minimum. After 4.5 years of service I was pigeonholed into doing all the heavy warehousing while family members and new hires got to cruise around in a van with AC all day. With 20+ employees on the schedule there’s no reason anyone should have been unloading a trailer every other day and putting tires away everyday while their favorites got to kick back in a van and collect a check. The rotation of work is lopsided. There were a handful of employees (favorites) that never once unloaded a trailer or put away any tires the entire 4.5 years I was there. Guys literally competing to do the least. Race to the bottom. Santa Ana was literally the laziest, most entitled, privileged, insubordinate group of underachievers I’ve ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Dead end job. On the last day of the workweek you’re required to clock out and continue to work on your time sheet off the clock unpaid.
