Pros

I started at the bottom and worked my way up over the coarse of 2-3 years! I learned so much during this time! The opportunities are endless as there is always a need for someone willing to show up on time and be dependable and work hard. I worked across several stores and store managers, all but 1 were phenomenal leaders! Getting to work along side these store directors helped me to grow. If you need more hours there are Often other stores nearby looking for someone to pick up a shift. The OPS helped me grow as well. Listen to them! HR was always fair. Don’t let the drama of one store bring you down. You are on a mission of self improvement! The people not focused will try to drag you into their petty fights. Never worth it!

Cons

The pay gap In Texas since Covid and the cost of living increase is getting better every 3-6 months. But this is a company you want to grow with!

Pros

Simple gig, depending on your manager and store the work life balance is easy. Employee discount. Albertsons has the Meat cutter in the back left alone. Tom thumb has them interacting with customers but besides the few interactions you're by yourself working.

Cons

Thievery has gotten so bad in the retail industry as a whole. Corporate has very little respect for the store workers, the ops are hit or miss. Pto is like one week after a year if that. The health insurance doesn't cover much. A lot of stores have things that should he fixed that don't get fixed, and you'll run into cheap practices like that constantly. My store had labor issues. Coworkers can be a real problem from incompetence that can't be fired to several known perverts. The pay is middle of the pack but meat cutters in general don't make much.
