Pros

I learned a lot at this company and didn't mind the high expectations of the Japanese culture. Hard work is expected, and they will promote accordingly, but you'll have to make a stellar case for raises. Great medical benefits (free!) and two+ total paid weeks off during shutdown in the summer and at Christmas. Depending on how far free medical benefits and PTO go with you, it may be worth the relatively low pay.

Cons

What the Japanese say goes...mainly that's a hindrance for upper management though. Urgent situations may require long hours. They are VERY slow to remove ineffective management/employees. The hardest workers pull the extra weight of the laziest.
