Pros

TrainUp has been around for several years but feels very much like a startup that is poised for a breakout. For most of its existence, TrainUp has been run with as a small training outfit under steady and sensible leadership. I have been working with TrainUp as a contractor for the last couple of years just as the fruits of building the company's reputation is starting to result in gaining traction with some exciting opportunities for substantial growth. It has been exciting to be a part of this effort and to see how my personal contribution fits in with the company's overall success, while at the same time feeling very much a part of the team among an especially talented and delightful group of people.

Cons

As with any company at this stage of growth, you need to be willing to wear a few different hats and deal with occasional growing pains. If your idea of the perfect job is to just show up 9 to 5 and just get through the day, TrainUp isn't for you.

Cons

None there really is no glaring cons they do what they promise and are highly professional. If it was not true I would be working with someone else.

Pros

People are great. The boss is great. Great products. I've worked for some other companies where I felt like the product I was working on was doomed for failure before it was even released so it's nice to finally work on products I believe in. I've been here just over 2 years and I've had far more personal growth here both as a developer and a leader than any other company. I could easily go get any number of jobs now that I was previously unqualified for before working here, but I doubt I could find one I love as much as this one.

Cons

This is a small business. If you don't understand what that means or have expectations of the sort of environment a large corporation provides then you may be disappointed. You must be self-motivated. If you need someone to manage you then you will probably fail. Often times the onus is on you to make sure you communicate with the boss and others to make sure you're actually working on something productive and not just something that's interesting to you.
