Pros

Remote work and good benefits were positives

Cons

In my team at Transifex, the engineering environment was chaotic and heavily focused on maintaining legacy systems with significant technical debt. Processes were labeled agile but lacked structure, meetings were long and unproductive, and alignment sometimes was poor. While experiences may vary across teams, mine struggled with high turnover and a culture that sometimes tolerated unprofessional behavior.

Pros

Transifex has an established business from years of work on our TMS for localization, but is also leading the industry in innovation for use of AI. It's exciting to get to work somewhere with this continuous innovation. The team is large enough that you're not on your own, but also small enough that you can have a real impact. It's a remote first company and I like working from home, getting to skip the commute. The culture is also great with some of the most supportive, helpful coworkers I've ever had.

Cons

Almost all regular company communication is done over Slack. It can be a great tool for a remote first company, but with so many messages on so many channels, it can be challenging to go back and find information after you initially have read it.
