The worst parts of corporate life. - Bid Analyst Transportation Insight Employee Review

Pros

The suffering is finally over.

Cons

This job introduced me to the worst parts of corporate life. Arbitrary performance metrics that focus on volume over complexity/quality, fear-based management, grind culture, last-minute deadlines with no warning, moving goalposts, and office politics that reward the most liked person over the most skilled person. I resigned because there were false accusations against me in a PIP I was asked to sign, and I refused to admit to lies. That should tell you a little about the integrity of management there.

Sorry to hear this was your experience! It’s surprising to hear and not what we want for anyone on our team, especially at the HKY office, which typically has great employee feedback. The things you mentioned like management development, communication, and performance processes are areas we are continuing to work on, and we will make sure to pass this feedback along to leadership in HKY. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in whatever comes next!

Pros

great industry, decent benefits, do your research

Cons

This is what you would consider a good old boy place. This was a revolving door. I must have seen 40 people be let go inside of a few months. No diversity and the leaders in place are are no afraid of treating you different and grade you much harder if you are of color or a women. No direction, there are so many other choices to work in this industry. Look at UPS, Fedex, DHL, Worldwide Express instead. Don't waste your time here. Ask them about how many people were laid off over the last three years and then ask them why. This should provide you a clear picture of what you are considering.
