Pros
The product was becoming useful/accepted, and the engineering team really cared about doing good work. The (now-ex) president had a good vision for growing the company.
Cons
Lots of ex-Agency folks who were overly impressed with themselves - and couldn't stand anyone who disagreed with them. The investor decided to cut costs and put the company in the hands of a guy with no vision, removing the president and anyone who agreed with him about new directions for the product.
