Really nice down-to-earth people. Learned a very different perspective on the cable business from Travel. Moving to Travel presented a great opportunity for growth in my career.
Cons
I did not feel I was challenged or stretched in the ways I would have liked. For a creative content company, they do not welcome creativity as they should. I felt extremely stifled while at Travel.
The brand is totally diluted. Parent company Scripps is extremely conservative, afraid of new ideas, risk-averse, slow to make decisions. They just had a major reorganization in Aug. 2015, layoffs in Nov. 2015.
