Pros

Some areas of modern technology. Recognized name in Travel industry. Staff are very team oriented and care about quality products and building relationships with each other. Work hours are flexible. Free soda. The CEO/owner is out for long periods of time.

Cons

Instant DIY coffee maker for the entire office. People have brought in their own coffee makers! Office space is depressing and the layout isolates teams. No bonuses. Max of %4 raise but that's not based on a performance scoring of any kind. The owner just decides what you get. Company is operated like a club. No grievance process cause there is no real HR department and if you do have a complaint, forget it. It goes right to the CEO. Sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior is common. I observed sexual harassment and verbal abuse repeatedly to the point where an external HR firm had to be brought in. This company is one lawsuit away from being closed down or fined. The CEO repeatedly announces it a "privilege to work here". No professional development/training. No focus on career growth. But there are no positions to be promoted to. The company is stagnant. Company outings or events are not open to significant others. CEO only engaged if there is something broken or wrong. Only shows up to criticize or find the blame or cuss at you. Staff kiss up just to keep him from turning on them. Beware. Trondent is where you go to let your career die and be insulted if you don't buddy up.

Pros

Casual dress code, decent salary and PTO, health insurance and benefits were actually far better than I've previously experienced, people are quite kind for the most part, friendly/fun company outings. Despite what's being tossed around on here, I actually found the management team to be extremely knowledgeable, fair, and genuinely interested in what you had to say. The CEO is out quite a bit, and is a fairly quiet man, but he has a heart of gold. The HR manager - who is actually the company's VP of Finance and Accounting, but got sort of molded into a non-existent HR department - is so easy to talk to, knows her stuff, and makes most everyone smile. She just doesn't tolerate BS or incapable people trying to squeeze what they can out of this company - which could be why some people find an issue in her. But she, like the CEO, has a heart of gold as well. There's more of a family atmosphere than some people like to give it credit for. It was overall not a bad place to work at ALL - I actually quite enjoyed my time here and what I learned.

Cons

Office is fairly dreary, sometimes there's such a surplus of work to get done that you feel overwhelmed, others there's nothing to occupy your time with, there's obvious office gossip/etc., but that comes anywhere, some of the higher ups that have been hired in the past have been disastrous screw ups (lying about their experience, creating issues for everyone else) but usually it gets taken care of.
