Pros

A couple of the managers treat people like humans. The trainer is very good and tries to make sure everyone has the tools they need to do their jobs. She unfortunately does not have all of the tools.

Cons

Job descriptions change continuously. There are way too many bosses that do not communicate with each other. You will be required to pull overtime with no notice. If you can not pull the 7 day a week 14-16 hour days they will get rid of you. The management are all mates and if you upset one you have them all down your neck. The "promised" reviews after 90 days never happen. If you need health insurance you will not get it here. The owner says the fines are cheaper then the insurance. If tou make a mistake do not plan on any coaching. You will find out about the mistake when you are being terminated. There is no consistency. Turnover rate is extremely high.

Thank you for providing us with feedback from your experience working with the company. I am sorry to hear about the many challenges you faced. There were times in the beginning stages of our company where a real structure and sense of consistency were lacking. On top of those challenges, employees also had to deal with the pressures caused by our deadline driven industry which, for all companies who participate, includes long hours during the spring and summer seasons. In the past year, we have overcome some of those challenges by implementing new performance review procedures, management training for newly appointed company leaders, and offering a health benefits package.

Pros

Decent salary overall even if you have to work 70 hours or more per week to achieve it. Lots of opportunities for hard workers that are naïve to the fact they will be used to benefit the company.

Cons

Management does not care if you have a life outside of work because they think TruAssets is all that matters...this being said as they have plans for their weekends while you work extra hours to keep things in order. Very little help when problems arise and even if management is aware of it it becomes your problem to deal with and resolve. Promises that are okayed by management are never honored and it makes you look like a liar to the contractors in the field. As stated previously all managers are buddies and if one has a hidden agenda against you they will set you up for failure and/or replacement.

Thank you for writing this and making us aware of some of the struggles you encountered while working for TruAssets. Work-life balance is something that can be very hard to achieve in this deadline-driven industry, especially when the company was in start-up stages, and it is in fact something that the majority of the management team struggles with as well. Sometimes it can seem as though there is always something left on your to do list that may go unfinished until the next day. This can be caused by many factors that can include not properly managing time in the office, lack of delegation at times, and or not reaching out to peers or management for assistance when dealing with an unbalanced workload. To your point, there are many opportunities for growth within the company and many of those in leadership roles have gotten there by sacrificing time when maybe they would have preferred to be at home. The management team works very closely together to achieve company goals and objectives which supersede any perceived personal friendships by far.
