Pros

TrueLook offered great compensation packages, and remote work was great at first...

Cons

The compensation packages were too high for the company to keep up with and they constantly were firing reps and creating new roles that were essentially the same. Consolidating 30 reps down to 15 and same with customer service, and then creating "business development" or "customer success" roles at a lower salary. I saw multiple rounds of reps hired and fired until I was apart of the company wide lay offs, then immediately saw job postings for my same role at lower salaries and words like "junior" or "new"

Pros

Unlimited PTO, fun employees, great benefits.

Cons

First off, severance being "1 Pay Period per year you've been with the company" is unreal. In this economy? Might as well tell me to go live on the street. If you cant afford a proper severance package maybe its time to consider some changes. Companies used to take care of their employees at least a little bit. C level and Directors are too fixated on looking good to the CEO & Owner, this leads to no actual decision being made in any meetings and constant bureaucracy blocking up any actual growth. Everyone it too busy pointing at each other and deciding what naming convention we should use for a half baked product launch that marketing hasn't outsourced in a timely fashion so nothing is made yet. Speaking of which, marketing department is extremely bloated and despite nearly all material being made by an outside source. On top of this, the materials that are made are still not good. In conclusion, this company is too far up it's own you-know-what to realize who is actually abusing their lack of awareness. All of leadership seems to be content with letting the company fail instead of actually sitting down and asking themselves if they are the problem.
