'Trial by fire' is a phrase that gets thrown around a lot. What does that mean? You're set to work with no training of company expectations or ways of working, expected to work above your pay grade and role (sometimes completing up to 90% of full projects alone, regardless of level), to then receive criticism from the senior team less beneficial than their commitment to sharing any credit for work completed. That's right folks, another senior team that refuses to do any of the work bar reading some slides, 'delegates' actionables, and takes all the credit! But never fear, you'll be offered a promotion...that won't ever happen due to 'lack of funds' in the extremely profitable world of insight. If work/life balance were a physical scale, weight of the former would be placed firmly on the ground; expect to work through lunch, evenings, and weekends with no compensation or flex time. Your personal numbers will be mined to contact you out of hours, so turn those off or have two phones. The Truth is, this is just another consultancy with a high turnover of employees. Don't be next on the list.
