Pros
I have been working for Tutorful for almost 6 years now and have met some amazing students through the platform. The online whiteboard has a lot of really good features that I have struggled to find elsewhere (e.g. on Zoom or Google Meet). I also really appreciate having direct contact with the students/parents without having to go through a 'middle man', which is the case for many other tutoring companies.
Cons
Just over a year ago, they significantly increased their platform fee which was a real shame as I had worked hard to teach over 500 hours in order to decrease this. It means that I now have to charge my students more than I feel comfortable charging in order to get paid the same rate (Tutorful now take over 35% of my earnings, when it used to be 20-25% depending on how many hours you'd taught).
