Minimal opportunity for advancement and growth. Pay is not as good as should be for the market. Culture of the employee should be honored to work at this institution regardless of low wages. Amount of responsibility on leadership while having 20% decrease in staffing over the next few months has lead to valuable leadership stepping down or going elsewhere. Rampant issues with keeping staff with no empathy from upper management who could care less. Direction of this department is apparently in a free fall and I would recommend not working in this laboratory. Quality and seasoned workers are fleeing this institution due the organization taking more and more during the Covid pandemic. Mandatory PTO with reduction of staffing due to lost revenue. No wage increase for this year and hiring freezes have led to numerous vacancies throughout the organization. Workload is increasing with minimal empathy for the stress staff are undergoing. Expect a turnover of this department over the next year.
