Pros
CTS offers a good balance between work/home time. Rarely did I ever have to work more than a standard 8 hour day. In fact I don't think I ever worked more than an 8 hour day and most of that was spent sending emails to my boss, my bosses boss and team members ensuring they had an exact record of my daily activities. Working a weekend was absolutely unheard of. There were many times where I was told that if I was finished with everything for the day I could take off. Of course that was when I had the one good boss out of the 8 over the course of my 5 years there.
Cons
Politics were rampant. I didn't trust anyone with anything I said and spent most of my time writing emails so a record of what I said, did and accomplished was available. I watched as many of my co-workers who weren't as adamant about keeping records were torn apart publicly for mistakes made by those who accused them. There was one instance where a particularly political individual called a meeting to publicly embarrass me in front of my peers. She was told by someone else that I had done something that I was not 'authorized' to do. In the middle of the meeting I interrupted her and the person accussing me of wrong doing and asked if I could be excused for 5 minutes. She said yes. I left, printed out copies of the email I sent pertaining to this issue and handed them out to everyone in the meeting. I was then called into another meeting the next day to be torn apart for embarrassing her.
