Pros
Good starter job for someone just out of school. Management was great, loved the in-office environment and working in California is cool. Liked the energy of the CEO Clients were fascinating and interesting Work life balance was good for me - not sure where other designers who've left were having an issue but I never found an issue working as a UX desinger and not having time for a life.
Cons
Not really much room for growth. There are not many people at the company. Unless they create new roles there's no where for you to go. Employee retention is non-existent Felt more like an assistant in my job position than an actual employee Senior designers are more highly favored (this isn't necessarily new) but new designers aren't really given opportunity to learn The team is constantly losing people and/or people are quitting which is concerning. With the great clients we had during my tenure there, you'd think more business would be drummed up and it's not. Small team, lots of pressure and work are put on the people who work abroad and it's borderline not ok. Not sure why they keep the employees on that they do when there's no new clients coming in and when there aren't new clients coming in, the CEO has an issue with the fact that the employees aren't bringing in new business. That's YOUR job.
