I was offered the job, even signed the offer letter, and the manager asked me to let her know when I sign it, and I did. Then I asked when I start, and she left it on read. I got ghosted, with no explanation. I know it’s not my background check because I’ve passed every background check over the course of 8 years that i’ve been working, and I’ve had a clean record. So not sure what happened, the fact that no one is explaining anything is unprofessional and strange. This is my first time experiencing something like this, no company has ever gone silent on me after I sign an offer letter… I accepted another opportunity since this offer is clearly no longer valid. bottom line is, don’t take an offer letter seriously until they give you your schedule.
