Pros
Travel, security and pay are very good. If you work hard you will advance quickly and the level of responsibility is higher than normal for most positions
Cons
Long hours and time away from family are serious things to consider. I did two one year tours in Korea without my family. The first tour was after my son was diagnosed with cancer.
