Pros

When you're part of a great command, they understand life outside of work and family matters. PT is built to improve your physical performance; it's not illogical or thrown together just to watch you struggle. You are expected to act like an adult and take care of what is needed without them breathing down your neck. Taking leave is almost always approved unless there is actually something going on that requires you to be there. Work hours are reasonable and you're not expected to stay late "just because".

Cons

If you're part of a bad command, you're counting down the days until your EAS. - Leave is always a toss up even with over a month's notice - SNCOs have their favorites and will treat others differently - A lot of times you will stay late for absolutely no reason and the SNCOs will be home by 1500 while you stay behind - Expect random formations and time hacks because your command is disorganized and somehow it's your fault - Expect to be thrown on the duty roster every month (and holidays) if your SNCO doesn't like you
