Pros
Back when we worked in the office, my commute was excellent. That's really it.
Cons
Where do even start? If you interview for a job here you'll be persuaded into thinking it's a good match. You'll be told it's a "fast-paced" environment but really rewarding. Fast is an understatement and rewarding is a outright lie. The culture at Us Weekly is one of the worst and most damaging I've ever experienced. They publish 90+ articles every day and not one can have a typo or "error" as the boss loves to say. You're made to feel like a machine — and machines barely need breaks. Machines don't need to get up to use the bathroom. Machines are always at their desks doing their jobs. The pressure is immense, and for what? Page views. This job made me unhealthy, anxious, miserable. I was thrilled to be furloughed then laid off. Seriously, I can't stress it enough. Don't work for Us Weekly.
