Pros
So far, USI has been an incredible experience, and I know I made the right decision by choosing this company for my career. From day one, I’ve felt supported by leadership. They invest in the tools, extensive training, updated technology, and resources that set me up for success. The people here are welcoming and genuinely care, and they show it in real, human ways. Everyone wants to help. The culture is collaborative, empowering, and refreshingly free of micromanagement. Even the CEO took time to personally meet and speak with me, which speaks volumes. I absolutely love being part of the team and can’t wait to see where my future takes me as a Construction Select Sales Producer in Tampa, FL.
Cons
Honestly, I haven’t experienced any major downsides so far. Like any company, there’s a learning curve, and there’s a lot to absorb early on. However, the training and support from my leadership and colleagues make it manageable. Not really a con, but obtaining the Florida Property & Casualty 2-20 license is a requirement for the role (as it would be at any insurance brokerage firm). It involves a significant amount of time spent training, learning, and studying. I’m grateful that USI is investing in me throughout the process. My training class is being led by some of the most knowledgeable and successful trainers in the industry, and I couldn’t ask for a better foundation as I begin my journey in the insurance business.
