Working alone in a salon without cameras - my salon was robbed overnight. The robbers dug a hole through the wall in the bathroom! Absolutely no comradery between employees because everyone hates working there so much. Management makes you overly push products and packages to the point where the customer becomes annoyed and resentful of you.There is barely an opportunity for commission because the goals are unattainable. Forced to work a double? You'll be at the salon from 8 AM to 10 PM with a 30 minute break in between to barely scarf down some food. Also, you are NEVER allowed to sit down. If you're caught sitting down - it's a write up. The other girls and I would have to hide in the laundry room and sit on the washing machine just to take a quick break. The owner and upper management are a joke, the salons are outdated and need a thorough cleaning. Bulbs are NEVER changed. I had multiple customers, one who knew Don Hirsch the owner say, "maybe don should quit buying porches and Mercedes and actually put some effort into the salon. It's falling apart." All in all just not worth it for only $8.25 an hour.
