Pros
Ultranauts is doing things right when it comes to evolving with the new millennium. From recognizing the value in having neurodiversity in their teams to valuing mental health as much as physical health, there's a lot to like here. All in all, it's a great place to work and it's definitely the best job I've had in my career. Recognizes value in neurodiverse teams Honest care and concern from upper leadership Receptive to feedback Transparent on everything from work finances to how they know they screwed up Psychological safety and mental health are as important as physical 100% remote Flexible work schedules Good time off allotments Working on more ways to help professional growth from within the company
Cons
Not a starter company, but still growing, and so there's associated pains to that: There's some disorganization at times Processes can be slow to change or be implemented New directions are sometimes communicated poorly (even though they are positive ones) I want to address this next point because it's a big one for people looking here: Some people feel overlooked or missed, or are put into positions they don't want to be in. I don't think the company does this intentionally. At all. But with some of the above issues, it creates opportunity for this to happen. They're working on improving, but it's not quite where it needs to be yet. I would still recommend this company 100 times over my previous places of employment, but I do understand there are people who have fallen into this category, and it does need to be fixed as best as it can be.
