Pros
- Payment is on time
- Some resources are available
Cons
- Potential parents: the site says that they rigorously interview all their tutors, but that is not true. For myself and a bunch of other tutors, merely submitting a CV was enough to get us registered on the platform - they didn't even speak to us over a call.
- They pay £23 an hour, and I guess that they charge at least £70-100 an hour - this is really crappy pay given that, after they allocate students to tutors, management basically has no useful function at all.
- No cancellation policy for tutors, so your student can be a no-show and you get no compensation at all. This only encourages students to be irresponsible and is extremely disrespectful to tutors and their time.
- The resources they provide have errors in them and are badly written because they're just written by university students with limited/no experience beyond doing the given admissions test themselves for low pay
- Management can often be unresponsive despite them being responsible for liaising between us and students if there are any issues
