Pros

An opportunity to break into the aviation industry without any experience. If you've always found travel interesting here's your chance. The company is part of Delta Air Lines which sounds exciting until you realize you are treated like a second class employee. If you're going to sign up use it as a springboard to get in with a better run airline or ground handler company.

Cons

Constantly having to do more work in a shift than is reasonable. Always being asked to do more and more with less and less. Hard work in bad weather conditions without gratitude leading to horrible morale. Management unwilling to invest money no matter how much more efficiency could be added. Understaffing. Bad training. High turnover. Having the regional manager constantly fly in to tell us that unless we improved our performance metrics we'd lose the station's ground handling contract to another company. Starting pay barely above minimum wage. No paid time off. Health insurance is not affordable. Yes you have travel benefits but swapping off your shifts to go anywhere is often impossible.

Pros

Great job and customers. Nice airport.

Cons

Bad management. Hateful co workers. I’ve worked airline industry for 35 years. I have never worked in such a hateful, vicious environment. About 8 of us quit around the same time because of many mean co-workers and supervisors. Anyone not Hispanic was and still is treated bad and picked on. I hope that American Airlines cancels their agreement with Unifi, and hires a better company to run the Palm Springs operation. They need a company that follows the rules of the United States when it comes to treating their employees fairly. Any fair treatment rules not followed are covered up by Unifi management.
