Pros

Good pay, benefits, great coworkers. The job itself is a good job.

Cons

I have nothing good to say about the company. Company has gone downhill since Fritz took over and continues to get worse, even when you don’t think it can. Hedge funds bought in and brought Precision Schedules Railroading with them, slowly ruining the railroad while trying to maximize profits and share value. Now they are trying to get rid of the conductor as they have no other ways to cut and make more money. Company is driving away customers at an alarming rate and carloads continue to drop. Record profits are false numbers as they’ve obtained that by cutting jobs EVERYWHERE and do not even try to bring in new business.

Pros

No experience needed, decent pay. Some ok people.

Cons

Starting low seniority will have you moved all around the state potentially. Managers actively try to get you fired in some cases.
