Pros
Not hard work.
Cons
Constantly bombarded with insults and jokes at the workers expense. Often told we have to work through breaks. Have even been told a few times that if I wanted to keep my job I would have to work through lunch, after clocking out. Sick time is rarely paid, and only after fighting. During morning meetings we are usually told we are "too stupid to get a job anywhere else" and that we should be thankful to them. Trying to get a new job is impossible since any time a potential employer calls, they tell them I am always late, steel, etc. None of which is true, but it destroys any chance of getting a new job. Was told during my annual review that the minimum wage increase this year counted as my raise. When I complained, he offered me a ten cent raise. It never showed up on the pay stubs. Store manager finally lost his job after getting caught trading raises for sexual favors. It had been going on for over a year.
