Pros

Flexibility so long as job is done well; Company Truck/Fuel Card; Information about accounts and equipment at your fingertips; support from direct management; "uncapped" commission

Cons

Fleet can be limited during peak rental seasons restricting used equipment sales prospects/closing; reliance on Salesforce as a means of customer "touches", while necessary for tracking and deal security (proving you were working on a deal), is tedious and time consuming; accounts growing to a certain size are moved to sales level above OSR leaving smaller, infrequently renting accounts as the main source for commission; due to previous, commission becomes inadvertently "capped".

Pros

Excellent benefits and a plethora of tools ans support. Company truck for sales reps at $75 per pay period. It’s a very well known company so you get a lot of business from national accounts. If you can get your foot in the door, it’s an experience that’s worth it. No regrets.

Cons

Due to their size and like so many publicly traded companies, there is a huge disconnect on the expectations. My manager did his best but you could tell his bosses were asking for unachievable results. My sales manager was clueless at her role and no sales experience to lead a team. Things she would ask from us were counter productive. Not anything I couldn’t deal with.
