      Pros

      Flexibility of work, interesting work.

      Cons

      Low payment and work arounds in your contract if you do not come from Germany. Dishonesty of the employers, they want cheap and overworked PhDs. Paperwork will be a hell for you and do not expect collaboration from anyone. You need a mid-high level of German for key aspects of your living in Rostock. Even if they tell you that with English you will be fine.

      a lot of new science buildings, physics, chemistry, biology facilities are brand new, easy going enviroment, only little pressure, good and cheap living

      Cons

      no perspective, no industry around the university
