Pros

Good benefits, close to home, fun coworkers

Cons

The low pay - one time my yearly raise was only .23 cents, which was an insult. I had a very good review and I wished they would recognize my hard work. Also, when I started as a regular teller in 2001, I was making $8.40/hr. A few years later, I found out that they were paying new tellers about $10/hr. Same for new branch managers and cust service reps (the new hires would start out with more than the current employees were making, at times).

Pros

Culture, great coworkers, training opportunities for advancement and general leadership knowledge and programs like Excel and Copilot

Cons

Pay isn't as strong as other banks in the area, but the relationship driven focus with customers makes it less stress than a more sales driven bank. Benefits are pricey and don't cover some medications my doctor wanted me on that I couldn't afford out of pocket.
