The most depressing thing about the day-to-day is that in contrast to the wit of UrbanDaddy content, there is zero charisma in most areas of this office. This is not the place for someone who cares about social good or people in general; staff members primarily strive for some illusion of social status and gaining party cred.
Crazy long hours, lots of politics for a tiny staff, unpredictable swings in direction from leadership (perpetually hung up on minutiae). Inexperienced developers get paid mad money while the rest of the staff takes a deep pay cut as a tradeoff for working for a slick lifestyle brand. While they somehow manage to bring in enough to operate, the company is not set up to grow and static personalities at the top ensure a future of plateauing or decline.
