Pros
Exceptional Learning Experience: I received a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in user research, allowing me to apply what I've learned in college in a true professional environment. Supportive Team: The team was incredibly supportive and welcoming, creating a positive and collaborative work environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance. I felt that I could approach any member of my team, plus people on other teams with my questions. Valuable Mentorship: I had the privilege of working closely with experienced researchers and managers who served as mentors, offering valuable insights and helping me develop my skills for the future. Flexible Work Environment: My position (and others) allowed for some WFH opportunities which greatly alleviated potential personal stresses, improved team morale, and increased productivity.
Cons
Limited Duration: One downside was that the internship was fairly short, and I would have loved to continue working here beyond the summer. Long Onboarding: It took some time for me to be onboarded and put on meaningful projects, however, once I was fully onboarded, the experience was definitely worth the wait.
