Pros

Decent pay if you’re okay with not getting raises or bonuses. Call-in fee added to check if you get called in. A few really smart and compassionate employees. Somewhat discounted pet services.

Cons

Toxic from owner all the way down. Management is toxic, leadership is toxic and the way the team is treated shift by shift is horrendous. More than half of the “critical care team” are absolutely clueless regarding CCU cases and there is no true rhyme or reason to the assignments of staff. Training is a joke and the “Trainer” is not knowledgeable enough to train the staff in a critical care setting. Not to mention that this “trainer” is ALSO toxic. The doctors rotate out of this hospital so frequently it’s hard to maintain a good quality standard of medicine much less a decent level of working respect amongst the nursing team and DVMs. The topper to this toxic hospital, recently the owner of the hospital told the care team that the reason they are not and have not in many years getting raises is because of “missed charges”. This hospital has doctors assistants who make the estimates when the doctor is too busy (in their phones watching YouTube videos) and there is a person who goes over and checks charges and charts AS THIER JOB. So how does that reasoning make any sense? The hospital is also EXTREMELY short staffed because the care team is so fed up they are all leaving for other companies.
