Pros

The customer base is full of our everyday hero’s. It is an honor to work with them.

Cons

This new group of leadership is awful. It is a boys club and seem to have been friends for years. They cleaned house for “cost saving reasons” to then turn around and introduce more executive positions and VPs. Training is non existent unless you’re in sales. Pay is uneven and positions are not defined. They love to use key words like “career paths” “defining roles and responsibilities” and “total benefits”. These are things they re do every year and are an excuse for why they are not paying their employees industry standard. Meanwhile they drop tons on money on extravagant trips for sales and upper management.

We work closely with managers to ensure team members are compensated fairly. We strongly encourage you to discuss any issues with your manager or schedule a meeting with the HR team if you have concerns.

Pros

It's a job and some of the people are great, remote/hybrid work for some employees

Cons

There is literally zero incentive to work hard or even try above the bare minimum. No real career paths or progression, no bonuses, nothing. Individual goals mean nothing and do not connect to larger company goals. Leadership is feckless and has to revisit the same decision constantly or has to make a decision involving way more people than necessary which means the final decision is bloated and difficult to operationalize. The company goals are not clear at all so work priorities constantly shift to whatever leadership has most recently decided, through a committee, is most important. There is basically nothing in terms of company culture. People don't talk to each other about anything. There is no fun in Teams channels. This probably stems from all of the above, that people do not feel at all connected to the company because they know they are not going to get anything out of it. Oh, and the benefits are abysmal.

We also understand the concern around shifting priorities. Like many companies, Vector operates in an ever-changing economic landscape. As market needs evolve, we have to evaluate and adjust priorities to keep the business growing, serve our customers well, and support the team members who drive our success. We will not dismiss feedback simply because it is difficult to read. We have meaningful work, a strong team, and a lot to be proud of, but we also have work to do. We appreciate your perspective and will continue working to make Vector a better place to build a career.
