In my experience, working at Vectorworks presented several challenges that I found difficult to navigate. I personally felt that the work culture was not as inclusive or supportive as I had hoped, and in my opinion, certain behaviors went unaddressed, which contributed to a less-than-ideal environment. The training resources primarily consisted of videos, and I found that hands-on guidance was limited. Additionally, I experienced pressure to engage in workplace interactions in ways that didn’t always align with my personal or professional comfort level. Regarding compensation, my understanding was that there were situations where employees worked beyond their scheduled hours without additional pay to meet ghost performance metrics that was never established when hired or in job description. Performance reviews also seemed subjective, and I personally felt that feedback did not always accurately reflect contributions or performance. Working remotely also came with its own set of challenges, as no internet stipend was provided. While some employees may have a different perspective, based on my experience, I would advise potential applicants to carefully consider whether the work environment aligns with their professional and personal expectations before committing to a long-term position.
