Pros

I have only been with Veeva for 8 months, but it is by far the best job I've had. Veeva cares not only about customers, but about employees too. The CEO, IT, Facilities, and HR team have handled the current pandemic situation with a lot of class. Communication across the board has been clear, consistent, and appreciated by all. And when a question or concern arises, my manager and even HR responds quickly. The people are top-notch and it is refreshing to be part of a company like Veeva that is making a difference.

Cons

Veeva operates like a start-up and I think it is time to invest more in systems. Our reviews are tracked on a google sheet. CEO is smart and engaged, but needs to empower and trust his team more without getting in the weeds. He still approves all new hires and sometimes it takes weeks for him to respond I've never met our CEO, but I hear people are afraid to speak up and challenge him professionally

Pros

Large presence in the industry and good-hearted, intelligent, and well-meaning people work there. Stable company, not going to be purchased by private equity and endure large layoffs

Cons

part of their motto is "do the right thing" but that's not applied when it comes to salaries or work-life balance. working weekends and well past normal hours seems to be a regular thing that most people are doing. a manager's solution to my issue of having more work than was feasible to complete was just to work longer days. "Veeva Speed" is a sugarcoated phrase everyone uses to indicate being overworked and initial training is like drinking from a fire hose; this company makes enough money to hire the correct amount of people to do the work and pay them fairly.
