      Poor management, low pay, understaffed - Medical Laboratory Technician Veridia Diagnostics Employee Review

      Standard benefits: PTO, sick time, vision, dental, 401K

      Cons

      Roles aren't outlined well. Despite being hired as a MLS or MLT you're expected to take on duties in data analysis, manfucaturing, inventory, automation support, being a "super user", etc. Responsibilities keep piling up but pay stays the same. Bringing to attention one problem uncovers 10 more and then you're expected to "roll with punches" rather than having the issues fixed. When management does actually try to fix issues, it's a quick patch, not a solution.. which comes back to haunt the lab personnel later on. The schedule does not allow for training on new procedures, projects, nor growth. This results in low employee morale.

      Great medical benefits. Somewhat worthwhile product.

      The laboratory staff is overworked and under paid. Management is extremely optimistic about their goals and they do not care for the strain or the quality of life of their employees. Everyone has a very negative attitude towards their job and only do enough to get by and also frown upon those who attempt to do more. The laboratory director seems a bit ignorant about the happenings of the lab and only does rounds to show he is there as opposed to really understand the laboratory's situation. If I had known all of this I would have not wasted my time in the Pre-Analytic assessioning department and I would have sought opportunity elsewhere. MLA at this place is a data entry dead end job. Don't do it. Look elsewhere. You've been warned.
