Pros
-work/life balance -benefits -location -.25 cents drinks -Nice new facilities -education assistance
Cons
-Few opportunities for advancement or training. -Many long tenured employees and leaders who at best seem demotivated and stuck in their ways. Some individuals are active or passive saboteurs without accountability. It's interesting too that long-time employees are rewarded with a "Sabbatical" for putting in their "time" regardless if their contributions are next to nonexistent. -Considered by some as a nice culture, however upon close inspection you realize that the culture condones passive aggressive, unproductive, and dishonest behavior and that's what is referred to as "nice." -Their strategy teams are unfocused, unproductive, and uneducated about the work for which they are responsible. These teams take a long time to make decisions. Often they sponsor smaller teams to do work that would generally take a few months but instead turn into these long running projects that take years. The interesting thing is that by the time the work is done the outcome is shelved because it is no longer relevant. k -Decision making is excruciatingly long.
