Pros

- Work from home - Fair salary - Nobody stays breathing on your shoulder to see what are you up to or what minute did you begin working/left working - Out of work time respected - Feedbacks are promptly kindly given and taken - Coworkers are outstandly professional - Wonderful sinergy thorught colleagues and often there is positive reinforcement about ones freedom to be - People are encouraged to enjoy their hobbies so that we're happier working. Meaning we're given full freedom to organize events and gatherings where many will show up and have a good time. Verve is a very social company. - Gives multiples benefits on top of the agreed salary.

Cons

30h/week is not possible due to the nature of the job. I've seen extra tasks be given to people whithout prior notice, but I think this was nothing awful - just got the colleague as a surprise.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, but don't expect that to be approved - many if ands/or buts.

Cons

Work-life balance is non-existent The workload here was totally unmanageable, meaning you're pretty much forced to work past 5 PM every day just to keep up. The "unlimited PTO" is a myth. A bunch of managers are reluctant to approve anything for a week or longer, and they still expect you to check in and reply to messages while you're supposed to be on vacation. Management throws you to the wolves Onboarding was pretty much a joke. They dump a massive amount of work on your plate before you even feel comfortable in the role. Managers aren't supportive either; they might help with easy stuff at first, but if a problem is actually challenging, they just pass the buck to someone else. Trying to escalate issues to skip-levels or senior leadership is completely pointless because they just ignore the problems anyway. It may even backfire, considering mid and senior leaders are tight-knit, and they often behave inappropriately towards their team. Heavy micromanagement There is a really intense RTO culture here, and the surveillance is real. You are expected to keep your camera on at all times during meetings. Don't expect a raise There's zero financial growth at this company. The starting pay was low, and management completely resists giving anyone a substantial raise, if they give you one at all.
