Pros

1) The colleagues - having each other is the only thing that keeps us sane. The bosses' ability to hire good employees is the only redeeming quality about them. 2) When you leave Verz for your next job, you will appreciate how good that job is in comparison with Verz

Cons

Verz is proof that even the most horrible bosses can build a profitable company. The company itself is a facade - what you see in pictures do not reflect reality. Company culture - the company is ruled by ridiculous monetary penalties. What is the point of fining people for being late when everyone has to OT? Being late is the most basic rule, there are penalties for everything ranging from client complaints to not following the least important SOPs. Feedback to the bosses is impossible. They run by the mindset that "it's not that i don't accept feedback. It's just that my idea is the best idea". if you think that it's harmless to provide feedback, you're dead wrong. Feedback is treated as a form of criticism, and you will be good to be extra careful when the bosses get offended. Also, if you're joining as a project manager, be wary of certain members of the sales team as sometimes they do not provide a holistic quotation. Clients will complain when they said the sales promised everything, and you are the one to handle all the unhappiness. If you're joining as a sales, be wary that the bosses have a tendency to deny you what you want (apply for leave) in order to 'spur' you on to meet your targets. As a realistic example of their character - the bosses found out about Glassdoor reviews some time in Nov 2017, and shortly after many fantastic reviews appeared. I won't claim anything, you can make your own conclusions.

Pros

• Strong local presence: Verz is a well-established and recognized digital agency in Singapore. • Exposure to diverse clients: Opportunity to work with SMEs, big brands, and projects across different industries. • Learning opportunities: Hands-on experience with web development, digital marketing, e-commerce strategy, and tools like Shopify, Klaviyo, etc. • Collaborative environment: Colleagues are generally friendly and supportive, with a team-oriented culture. • Growth opportunities: Room to build skills in sales, project management, client servicing, and partnerships. • Clear processes: Structured workflows and SOPs that help in managing client projects. • Work culture: Some flexibility, approachable leadership, and open discussions for feedback.

Cons

• Fast-paced environment: Can feel high-pressure with multiple client demands and deadlines. • Workload: At times heavy, especially during peak project delivery periods. • Processes: Because it’s a growing agency, some processes are still evolving — this can be a challenge if you prefer rigid structures. • Career growth: Advancement can depend on initiative and results — may not be as structured as in larger MNCs. • Client-facing challenges: Managing expectations can be tough (though this is normal in agency life).
