Pros
You get hands-on work from day one. No hand-holding, so you do learn to figure things out yourself.
Cons
1. Zero HR Process
No proper interview, no onboarding, no documentation. You’re just thrown in. Hiring feels completely arbitrary.
2. Toxic Management Style
Manager/owner directly demands results with zero guidance or mentorship. “I don’t care how, just get it done” is the default communication style. No constructive feedback culture.
3. Salary Delays
Salary is supposed to arrive by the 20th but consistently comes late. For salaried employees, this is unacceptable.
4. Phones Confiscated
Personal phones are taken away. You are given a company phone for calls only. Extremely restrictive and creates unnecessary stress.
5. Toilet Time Deducted from Lunch
Yes, literally. Restroom breaks are tracked and deducted from your 45-min lunch break. This is dehumanizing.
6. Predatory Leave Policy
Taking a Saturday OR Monday off counts as 2 leaves. This is designed to punish employees for taking weekends off.
7. Arbitrary Termination
Employees can be fired suddenly without cause or notice. No job security whatsoever.
8. Nepotism
Owner’s relatives hold key positions — you will always be under a microscope regardless of your performance. Beware of the Sandwich Leave Policy. If you take leaves on either side of a public holiday, the holiday itself gets counted as a leave too. So a 2-day leave application can cost you 3 leaves. Public holidays are your legal right — having them consumed by this policy is nothing short of wage theft in disguise.
