Pros
* Being able to help the kids.
* Great job for those going into the mental health field (SW, Psychology, etc)
Cons
* Management: focused on census, not quality of care.
* Pay and benefits were average for this area, but low for the demand of this job.
* Schedules are awful: You work a rotation of 1-7 (am or pm, depending) on Tueday, then 7-7 (am or pm) W and T, (off F, Sat, Sun) then 7-7 M, then a half shift T (7-1). Back on Sat and Sun 7-7, off M, then start all over on T w/ the 1-7.
* Very high turnover because of lack of staffing (which is a result of multiple systemic problems).
* Lack of consistency across shifts, making it much harder to do your job in the first place.
