Pros

Learing about fine wine investments

Cons

Cold calling on daily basis and lying about wine performance and they will do anything to get you to invest. Constant flow of client complaints and losses on their investment. Poor client and portfolio care. Selling pitch and guidelines came from the CEO himself but when i did some research about Peter Shakeshaft and his old companies like Wills & Co Stockbrokers everything became clear. Seems like they continued to con people just under a different company and i ask myself how are they allowed to operate. Heavy drug use, bullying and total unproffesional attitude was a daily occurrence and it was acceptable as long as you are making sales.

Pros

very few pros. I guess on face value the team are nice.

Cons

You spend all day calling people up out the blue with no warning under the guise that they were previous customers from some company they acquired. You then have to phone people up who already have investments with them and even if they are performing badly (which honestly is almost every single person) pressure them into buying more wine because "The market is at rock bottom now... it's going to get better" ... there is no evidence to prove this but you have to make up figures. Whenever someone comes in to visit the office we hide the boards showing how badly these investments are performing. This company has no shame and I'd advise anyone looking for a job in wine finance to go with literally ANY other firm as cold calling is just not a legit strategy in this sector!
